Finchem, R-Oro Valley, said the payment was reimbursement for crowd control and security costs at a meeting he convened at a downtown Phoenix hotel.

Finchem claims he didn’t enter the Capitol but he tweeted supportively from outside.
Finchem later complained when the security response to the attack he supported stopped him from getting food delivered to his hotel.
