Armenia's second President, Robert Kocharyan who was on a trip to Russia from February 3-8 gave an interview to Sputnik Armenia.

"I am returning to politics to win."

1. Modern day Armenia needs urgent changes to preserve the people and statehood - Kocharyan

2. It is better to talk not about the restoration of the Soviet Union, but about a full-fledged modern integration. This is something Yerevan should think about - Kocharyan

3. The integration of the European Union is much deeper, more interesting and broader than integration within the CIS, which is very, very conditional.

4. Kocharyan returned to big politics, because in Armenia there is a demand for predictable, understandable and strong personalities.

5. If there are elections, they will most likely become bipolar, between the government and its antipodes - Kocharyan

6. There is a need for teams of professional managers, people who have the will and are able to speak the truth looking into the eyes of their opponents - Kocharyan

7. The semi-presidential form of government balances the interests of political forces - Kocharyan
