Quarantine hotels start in a weeks time, & this morning on the #BBCSundayShow @mmgeissler had @JeaneF1MSP on. Suppliers of hotels need to know NOW what is happening, staff need training. Again it looks like more last minute decisions which have always proved ineffective
Planning preparation and execution are key for success. Policy or actions in our sector can not be switched on like the light in your office when you go to work in the mornings, contrary to some belief.
The health and wellbeing of Staff having to possibly work in a hotel environment which is being used solely for quarantine is absolutely vital and MUST be addressed.......and not just by giving a vaccine!
Right the way through this pandemic, hospitality have been expected to implement change within a matter of hours here in Scotland, with guidance coming out at the very last minute. This should never be the case, and cant now be allowed to happen for quarantine hotels.
