You’re all going to vote for the ANC next time too, and every mainstream media outlet and political pundit is going to tell you it’s the right thing to do, just like they have every other time.
There are lots of tricks as to how this happens. Last time was the bait and switch with “Zuma is gone, Ramaphosa will be different”. Then of course there are fan favourites like “there is no real opposition” and “the DA are a white party who will bring back Apartheid”.
Naturally the majority of criticism for the ANC by the mainstream is always critical of individuals because that’s the problem - the organisation is of course golden. Criticism of other parties and their people is always harsher for those to the right (not hard) of the ANC.
The point here is that nothing changes until you realise that the problem here isn’t merely the ANC, it’s the entire system made up of sycophantic media houses and journalists, leftist talking heads, and faux Marxist political parties which push the Overton window to the left.
This is all designed to ensure that the ideology all of these people believe in stays in power. They simply can not allow their agenda to be scuppered by a change in Government which will lead to a change in political direction. “The ANC will rule until Jesus comes” is the play.
