Was asked what happened with the Owensboro, Ky mega preacher Brian Gibson. He gave a speech at a DC Trump Rally on January 5th. Well he’s busy being BFF with right wing jerk Matt Crouch. Here they are with Roger Stone 12/27/20 1/
It gets weird. In an interview with Newsweek, he says he and his family have been on the run living in hotels since the 6th. Not because of what he said… Because of the photo he took with Q Shaman, Jake Angeli at an August AZ rally. 2/
For somebody in hiding. He’s been doing a whole lot of interviews with anybody & everybody on the right. And he’s found time to be cruel & not preacher like attacking @AOC . By this point, you see how offensive he is. 3/
Apparently he was a junkie, got a calling & graduated from oral Roberts University (now closed). He only came to Owensboro in 2004. The name of Gibson’s mega church is HIS Church. Yup. It has branches in Owensboro & Henderson, KY & Dumas & Amarillo, TX 4/
Brian Gibson is definitely an extreme evangelical preacher & loves Trump & The far right. He’s been seen with Mike Lindell, Matt Crouch, Roger Stone, Q Shaman & more. His sermons are repetitions of trumps talking points 5/
He’s slightly infamous here in KY, for going against the large gathering bans due to COVID-19 & Refused to comply. The past Easter, he pushed it too far & was shut down due health violations. So he saw his next moneymaker 6/
He started the Peaceably Gather movement. Basically to get churches to re-open against orders to stay closed due to the pandemic. So far 50 churches in 12 states are in on it. He rallies all over pushing it & far right points. They even had a bus tour 7/
Brian Gibson is not just an extreme evangelical but has some weird beliefs. Such as the “black robe regiment’. (Based in puritanical colonial era.) He calls for that regiment to “ defy pandemic restrictions” & “lead the Christian army”. 8/
He combines that with the right wing rhetoric & ties it to the revolutionary war... then begin pushing Jan. 6th. He spoke on the 5th & 6th & says he attended Trump’s rally but then returned to his hotel... because his feet were cold. 9/
He swears it was a peaceful event & Trump didn’t incite violence… So he’s a liar. He seems to try to incite revolutionary action himself. Due to the pic of him & Q Shaman many thought he went to the Capitol (but it’s an AUG 20 pic). 10/
So now supposedly he has wife and kids are in hiding in hotels...Supposedly protected by A security staff a former special ops military vets due to death threats. And make no mistake. All of his ventures beg for donation 11/
He’s even supposedly thinking of starting a theological school which would rake in even more money. And he believes preachers should be politicians also.
