Ok I bought Casey Hammer's book and will start reading it tonight
I don't like her writing lmao
She's a horse girl, which i will excuse given the trauma she's endured
If you get the book, don't read the first chapter. It reads kinda like what I'd expect those raunchy romance novels at Walgreens to be like
Ok now she's talking about finding her mom covered in blood getting beat by her dad, her mom seeing her, and telling her to go back to bed so Santa would give her gifts (p much acting like she wasn't just getting her ass beat)
Apparently author's mom (AH's grandma) would gather the children into a car and drive around in the middle of the night to avoid getting beat by their dad
The grandfather is the oil tycoon i think
After her parents' divorce, Casey would reenact their abusive relationship with her barbies

The Hammer mansion was trashed and this was written on the walls 
Throughout the book, Casey often rewrites traumatic events with her father in her head, making him seem like a loving parent when he literally didn't give a shit about her, constantly forgot she existed and would expose and subject her to horrific shit.
She also concealed details of her abuse so that she could continue to see her father
Ok won't go into detail but she describes her brother Michael (AH's dad) r*ping her and threatening her after the fact
I was v sympathetic toward Casey's mom until I got to the part where her mom ignored/didn't believe that Casey was abused by her brother
WHAT
This excerpt reminds me of how one of Armie Hammer's victims had described him. I guess it really does run in the family
Armand Hammer died and Michael Hammer decided to steal from him lmao
Oh fuck it looks like AH's dad got Armand Hammer Sr. to leave everything to him, leaving out Casey and her father. And it's implied that there was foul play in the deaths of AH Sr and his wife (likely by AH's dad, Michael)
Ok so for the past hour, Casey has just been detailing the pain and unresolved feelings she had after her grandfather and father's deaths. She also talked about her many failed relationships and reinforced the idea that she just needs her cats and horse to get by
this is going to ruin how I view people who pass down names from generations
Ok hmmm murder runs in the family...
There really are no redeemable characters in this book, damn
Ok finished the book. Here are my takeaways:
- Julian Hammer (AH's grandpa) really liked Mexican food and culture lmao
- Everyone in this family is a demon
- This doesn't touch on AH or his siblings since Casey and her brother (AH's dad) hate each other
- rich ppl are insane
