I downloaded the Peanut mom’s app, to meet other moms in your area. Bao and I both need friends. Anyway, a profile came up, her name is Thandeka and she studied at UKZN. Her profile said she’s pregnant, and that she’s here with her partner and no other fam.
I couldn’t contain my excitement and reached out to her. No response for weeks I started analysing my message... in my haste, I may have come across a bit forward.

We spoke for an hour she lives 13 minutes away from us, has a two month old boy, and introduced him to Bao as her best friend. She and her partner are scientists, like my partner. She is also into food, to the point that she has an IG account for it
