NEW: We've heard from quite a few @JeffcoSchoolsCo teachers tonight frustrated over a chaotic last minute vaccine notification. Teachers got an e-mail from the district at 5pm - telling them to get to the National Western Complex by 6. (THREAD) #9news

One teacher I spoke to told me while stuck in traffic near the NWSS he watched a woman get out of a car and start running towards the complex. When he parked - others were running through the parking lot to get inside.

. @SCLHealth ran this mass vaccination clinic today to vaccinate underserved populations and those 70+. A spokesman told us tonight that they had extra doses after no-shows and they extended limited invitations to their education partners....
One of those districts "over-extended" the invitation well beyond the capacity.

This obviously is the goal when there are extra vaccines - you don't want them to go to waste - and in this case they went to a population that is about to be eligible on Monday.

Again - we have yet to hear from @JeffcoSchoolsCo about how many people got this notification and how this "chaos" happened. I've heard from some teachers who got a robocall from the district.
