Third quarter. Detroit News’ Dan Mears (legend) and I were editing first half photos in the photo room. It’s a hike back to the field.
We see the Lions driving. We both grab our gear and start running down the tunnel.
We both have ≈$25k worth of gear on us. Running? Not ideal.

I slip near the end of the tunnel. but catch myself. Heart’s beating a bit from nearly breaking all my gear.
We get to the field, but no room for two people. Dan, who is much taller than me, says he’ll stay high and I go low.
So I get down. He’s standing behind me.
