I’ve started to conceptualize BPD like neuropathy of the emotions. A truly painful experience w/o necessarily having a known generator for the sensation. Sometimes so painful it is intolerable w/o some form of intervention although evidence for RX helping (1/3)

I’ve started to conceptualize BPD like neuropathy of the emotions. A truly painful experience w/o necessarily having a known generator for the sensation. Sometimes so painful it is intolerable w/o some form of intervention although evidence for RX helping (1/3)
is limited and variable across those diagnosed (DBT is wildly inaccessible for many with BPD depending on your region). I am still formulating this thought, but it is bringing up some ideas for me of how on a population level more affordable treatment options could be (2/3)
possible. It’s also making me consider populations where it is under recognized just like the experience of physical pain is dismissed in some individuals or culturally discouraged to be discussed. Thoughts? I still BPD separate from complex PTSD, do you? (3/3)
