Yeah this is an extremely bad take and writing off an entire group of people as inherently abusive because they have a disorder caused by being abused and using "I was abused by a person with this disorder" as an excuse to perpetuate an extremely harmful narrative is Not it. https://twitter.com/butchanarchy/status/1358185127319244803
Literally only two of these nine criteria even require external interaction at all. NPD is expressed mostly as internal thought processes and if the external behavior you let those cause is abusive, it's because you're an abuser, not because you have NPD.
Saying that there is any specific inherent trait to abusive people, or that abuse is any specific inherent trait to any type of people is an extremely dangerous narrative that will ultimately put a lot of people in a lot of danger and cause a lot of harm.
Abusers are just abusers and that's it. Sure there are things that make people more likely to end up being abusive, but the 'inherently abusive' narrative only hurts people, especially in the case of disorders like NPD.
Anyway several of my friends and one of my partners have NPD and I'm doing fine so.
