The second RICHEST athlete of all time

That you have never heard of

He played in the NBA and came off the bench

Junior Bridgeman

-A THREAD-
This is arguable the coolest story I have ever heard.

I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting this man in Louisville Kentucky about 5 years ago.

His story nothing short of incredible

Let’s get into it
Junior Bridgeman (born 1953)

Was an incredible athlete and an incredible student.

Junior didn’t plan on playing basketball in college but quickly realized his potential by his senior year

Leading his Indiana high school team to a state title and 29-0 record
After high school Junior was recruited and attended the University of Louisville Where he of course played basketball.

He helped lead his team to the final four in 1975

Junior got his degree in psychology
After college Junior was drafted by the Lakers and soon traded to the Milwaukee Bucks

All of this in the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar trade.

He played most of his career with the bucks before he was traded to the clippers
Junior did something very different than most athletes, especially during this time period and realized there was going to be a life after basketball

Junior came off the bench his entire career, while still an efficient player averaging just over 13 points a game
As his career came to an end Junior did something that was virtually unheard of.

He went to work at Wendy’s.

Like many successful business people

He wanted to master every aspect of a business he was interested in.

And that’s just what he did
He learned the entire business model, as well as every position within a Wendy’s franchise.

Why? Because he obviously loved spicy nuggets.....

Just kidding, but because he knew there was money to be made and wanted to be the best.
By the time his career had fully came to an end

Junior purchased 3 Wendy’s Franchises

Nothing crazy, considering he was an Ex. NBA player

But his peak salary was 350,000

NBA money was different during this time period
Over the next 20 years Junior went on to dominate the Wendy’s Franchise

At the peak of his ownership he owned 160 Wendy’s Franchise

Junior did something no professional athlete has ever done

AND HE CAME OFF THE BENCH
That’s not the end of the story though

Along with owning Wendy’s franchise Junior was scooping up other forms of income as well.

He also become one of the largest franchisees of Chili’s

But wait there’s more
Bridgeman also as reported in 2020 purchased @EBONYMag for

$14,000,000

Incredible
In 2018 Bridgeman also purchased a

Coca-Cola Bottling company

The amount of money was undisclosed
The point of this thread is pretty simple

Junior Bridgeman an NBA athlete that came off the bench

Averaged 13 points a game (wasn’t a Lebron or Michael Jordan)

Manifested his own destiny to become incredibly wealthy
Junior Bridgeman has a net worth of roughly

$600,000,000

He turned a $350,000 salary into

$600,000,000

YOU’RE MINDSET HAS TO BE DIFFERENT
