something you should know before calling someone antisocial!
- antisocial :: it is asociality to the extreme and is related to personality and mental disorders. an antisocial person lacks empathy or regard for the safety of others and may be hostile towards society. antisocial behavior is typical behaviour for sociopaths.
- asocial :: it refers to indifference to a separation from society. an asocial person should be able to socialize normally if they choose to, but doesn’t do so often, it’s simply a lack of interest for social situations. it’s common for introverts to be asocial.
i felt like this was an important thread to make as a lot of people misuse the word “antisocial” and i did as well until i read about this. please share and educate people so everyone starts using the right words! <3
