What I have learned as a queer person:

Don't ever talk about your trauma.

Any discussion of your trauma at the hands of straight people is "overblown" "dramatic" " too sensitive" "trying to attention"

People are not allowed to talk about trauma without getting revictimized
Disagree all day long on AOC and Rashida's politics and "camera seeking."

But undercutting their experiences on 1/6 tells all of us that you don't care to hear about trauma and what it does to people.

1/6 is a test, do we care about humanity or just want to settle scores?
We on the left failed this test with Franken. Collectively the left diminished all 8 women's accounts of sexual harassment and assault into "one photo by a right wing person"

What does that tell rape survivors? We are not allowed to talk about assault or harassment or rape.
And it's fine to destroy one woman, the whistleblower who stood strong for the 8 women, Kristen Gillibrand to cover up for the bad behavior of one man.
A violent hate fueled mob of THOUSANDS attacks the capital complex at the behest of a "leader" who routinely calls out by name AOC, Ilhan, Rashida and uses them in hate ads all over the country but they are "overreacting" to the trauma of 1/6.
What is an appropriate reaction?
Are we really going to police the tone and ways in which VICTIMS of 1/6 react?

Speaker Pelosi is 80 and the head of the caucus trying to pass legislation so she doesn't use tik tok and no one else is allowed to express their 1/6 trauma because she doesn't?
Maxine Waters gets death threats every day of her badass existence and doesn't go on insta so no one else should?

Make it make sense to me, I don't understand these rules.
I'm one of "those queers" who never shut up about the inequalities of LGBTQI persons. From 1978 on. I became homeless because I refused to shut up about LGBT trauma pretend to be straight. Speaking out forces change.
When enough people scream from the hilltops as loudly as possible about the trauma of white straight supremacy we will change. No healing without truth and reconciliation. No moving on until we "Speak truth"
