1/4 Grumble-grumble. I am distressed by personal attacks a guest on our show received here today. He is an economist, a Democrat, who questions the $1.9 trillions @POTUS relief bill, and whether it will come at the expense of investments in jobs, new energy, infrastructure, etc.-
2/4 If you disagree, please do so. It doesn't even need to be respectful. We were tough in our questions. But he has been attacked by people here for his age, weight, ethnicity, and assailed with epithets--by people, I suspect, who believe they are above such bigotry. We are in-
3/4- the news business. We're not one of those platforms that only brings you views which we know you like. It will cause no harm to hear ideas you are sure you don't like, and may help us all think. And we will treat all guests with respect. We are grateful they speak with us-
4/4-Finally, some fine ppl said we should not interview him at all because he has been wrong in the past (he disagrees w/ their example). I am wrong about something every day. If you have been right all of your life about everything, I can only be filled with awe. Thank you.
