A funny thing happened today. I went for a push - I guess the wheelchair equivalent of going for a jog.

Just a few miles. No #30in30. But it made me think.

At the end of last year I pushed 10km a day for a month for Carmela's Wonder Woman fundraiser and 10km a day... /1
And that was amazing. I was so happy to support @ChilleryWatson and the money we all raised was fantastic.

More than that the world got see an amazing young lady and the journey she is on. And what a family!

It was very cool.

And just before that @julesGBSVB and I went to support The Super Champ #emersongrant2014 along with @AMDearsley and Lee on his @SuperheroTri event.

To see this young man - who I raised money for during the #30in30 - do his thing was just amazing.

He has *grown* so much.

/3
And man, going along and hanging out with Bear and @paula_hudgell when he did his epic - and *million pound fundraiser - for @EvelinaLondon was fantastic.

There's an amazing photo of Tony sat on my lap on my 30th marathon.

And just look what he's gone on to do. Fantastic!

Honestly. The people I've connected with.

@MojoManxie & her daughter Chloe - a recipient of the @DianaAward

@BillyRayMansell - a real life superhero and a genuine hero of mine. If you don't follow him, please do.

And @kieraroche from @LimbPower. I owe everything to Kiera.

/5
And the activists... man.

@Danwhite1972 and Emily. Possibly the most important voices in the UK today.

@LordOrk who does so much vital work that can't be overestimated.

@BlondeHistorian - a genuine hero of mine.

@Bunnyaimee who is an amazing friend

/6
And of course my "close personal friend" @Tanni_GT who owes *everything* to me
But the point is this.

After the #30in30 something went out of me.

I lost the need to keep proving myself. I mean, wow, after 30 marathons in 30 consecutive days...

Its a good thing. I silenced that demon that told me wasn't good enough.

I had nothing left to prove

/8
Because I have always been driven by negativity.

I was the disabled kid. I wad different. I had no one to show me a path.

I was lost. I was lonely. And I was so *fucking* angry.

And when I completed the #30in30... I was content.

I had nothing left to prove.

/9
And then the best thing happened.

So many people, so many kids and their families, people I've mentioned, told me I had inspired *them*.

Imgaine that. Imagine being the lonely kid with no legs who finally - finally - found their place.

You can't know how cool that was.

/10
So I took some time off. Hell, I deserved it.

@Jaco_H_Nel very kindly asked me to speak at an event for @PennineCareNHS and Carmela and Lucy came to visit, then we did the #WonderWoman event.

I needed that time. And @julesGBSVB helped me through it.
