If alcohol is legal then Marijuana should be legal. I don’t want the stuff but that doesn’t stop me from seeing that it’s a freedom issue (+God made it). Alcohol kills nearly 100,000/year and we allow it for adults. Marijuana kills so few that we don’t even have a number for it.

Marijuana also has therapeutic/medical uses that could replace more of the dangerous opioids out there. I’ve seen first hand how it’s soothed the pain of cancer patients. I don’t think the government should intervene to stop a cancer patient from relieving their pain. Thoughts?

There’s the added benefit of cutting off a big $$$ maker for cartels/gangs. If it’s done through legal grow operations you’ll see less illegal activity that can be a real danger to people through laced drugs & gang activity. Also reduces $ spent on non-violent marijuana offenses.
