"I’m a mom with eight kids. That’s it. I work. And I garden. And raise chickens. And sell cheese at a farmers’ market.” said one of the many white women who stormed the Capitol. Remember that QAnon is driven largely by white suburban women, particularly mothers as I say in 👇🏽 https://twitter.com/monaeltahawy/status/1348284113736888321
When U.S. media take deep dives into QAnon, it is stunning how much fuckery white women get away with. QAnon channels far-right white supremacist fuckery into concern for children. And who dares argue with that most deified of creatures, the white mother? https://www.feministgiant.com/p/white-women-storm-the-capitol
"I’m a mom with eight kids. That’s it." The triple whammy of white, woman, mother.

The fucking criminal privilege of it.
Again and again, the audacity of white womanhood obscures and obfuscates the violence that white women are allowed to get away with. It is not new and the insurrection was just the latest opportunity for white womanhood to give presentable face to fascism. https://www.feministgiant.com/p/white-women-storm-the-capitol
During a pandemic that has disproportionately affected Black, Indigenous, and mothers of colour, at a time when mothers in concentration camps on the border had their babies stolen from them, we got articles like this to excuse white women and QAnon
And this. Excuse after excuse for white women of QAnon, which the FBI labelled a domestic terror threat in 2019. These features rarely mention that in a timeline of violence linked to QAnon between 2018-2020 compiled by the Guardian, women were arrested for 5/12 instances.
Because like these white women I compiled here, they thought their white motherhood would save them. https://twitter.com/monaeltahawy/status/1348660705906614272?s=20
