appropriation and whitewashing of hinduism needs to be talked about: the Western world takes our ideologies and makes it their own whilst diminishing it as a religion and its believers on a systematic level. and it is so fucking normalised.
the whole concept of manifestation, the law of attraction, karma and meditation all come from Hinduism but are barely credited. not only that but our symbols and accessories are worn by those who don't even believe in our gods and goddesses. it needs to be called out
some appropriated hindu things: yoga is actually the physical form of asana. manifestation, mindfulness, karma and chakras is also from our beliefs. putting om and our gods and goddesses in your house for decor is really offensive if you dont believe in it. educate yourself ffs
