1. MSP Procurement hasn't gone at all. Min. Support Price is skewed in favor of two states only, yet the liability is borne by government, indirectly by the taxpayer, while farmers in other parts of India stay poor.
WB - sells ~ 2% of paddy while prod ~ 15%
Why this unfairness! https://twitter.com/GurjantSM/status/1357985847627243521

2. Causing loss to bihar, coz bulk procurement at MSP in PB/HR drives down cost, bihar selling outside msp at throwaway price. Demand further drops becaus Punjab rice (FCI) comes to Bihar for distribution through PDS. https://twitter.com/GurjantSM/status/1357985852224204802?s=19
3. SDM level - faster time bound dispute resolution, farmers have easy access to SDM than Courts.

4. Same middlemen can be hired today by corporations. Only change - They won't be able to hoard/sell additional yield. Everything will be accounted for. Since this middleman will act as Aggregator. Read the act. https://twitter.com/GurjantSM/status/1357985861774708736?s=19
5. I'll rest my case with this. Technology allows the freedom for Annadaata to innovate and go for process improvement. Companies won't enter into a contract with a farmer with no wherewithal to produce the crop as per the contract.

6. Farmers and FPCs are empowered to take matter in their hands and resolve the dispute. No middleman, just quick justice.

7. Do you have a timeframe for it?
When will they go away?
In one month, one year, one decade? https://twitter.com/GurjantSM/status/1357985874223329280?s=19

8. That's not how contracts work. No company would enter into a contract with miscreants. Requirements of contract, expectation n delivery of yield will be laid down. Hawa mein baat na karo. Company isn't gonna screw its business just coz they want to 'exploit' their upstream.
Also, if you would've read the act you wouldn't have missed this.
Even after signing contract, farmer can withdraw anytime, without penalties, if no advance taken.
If advance taken, return (no interest charged) then withdraw.

10. Will GOI will allow such an exploitation of massive scale to happen?!
GOI came didn't allow hoarding and blackmarketing of masks/PPE items/HCQs during the pandemic.
Logistics will improve, it has already begun.
