The @WoodlandTrust has put together a great map of the 108 Ancient Woodlands affected by #HS2. I'm not sure it shows what they want though. Bayhurst for example is Km's away from the line 1/5
Just heading North from London we can see the line is heading along an existing road next to an Aerodrome and Waterski Club. Not exactly sylvan hills
Not sure that this scrap of land next to a motorway and a distribution centre is a killer blow either. Shifting some of those lorries to rail will probably have a much bigger impact.

If anything looking at the map has made me more pro-HS2 and more more pro rewilding!
