I have this theory about dislikes on YouTube videos and I’d love to hear your thoughts (a short thread

I can always tell when a video of mine “leaves” my audience so to speak. The ratio of dislikes to likes gets a fair bit higher after a week or so of posting. It’s not a big deal, if anything it’s encouraging to see that my video is being served to strangers by the algorithm.
When someone who has never seen another video from me sees one for the first time, they are more likely to hit dislike than those who chose to see my videos more often. So do you think it’s more likely that...
a) these are people that *have* seen my videos before and try to avoid them because they don’t like me or my content (totally fair) and they are annoyed that the algorithm is sending them the video. So they hit dislike hoping to train YT about what they do and don’t like. OR...
B) That the more videos you see from someone, the more context you have about who they are and why they have the opinions they do. So uou’re better able to empathize with them because you see them as a more complete individual rather than just a random opinion you disagree with.
