Wow. Is that what y'all doin' now? Stop assuming things about people, really. Reminds me of earlier times when folks would be, "Are you really down for the cause?" Let's be clear: agent provocateurs used to ask that, too. Gov't trained agents who sought to fray relationships... https://twitter.com/feralvenefica/status/1358029690984943616
In any movement, ideology can't be the main "capital" of it. You also must value relationships and something as simple as manners. Because all movements will have elements that disagree on means, methods and the people involved.
But what will hold things together is coordination, respect, and also knowing when to shut up about particular people and things. It's clear that many of you have studied ideologies. HAVE YOU STUDIED MOVEMENTS, THOUGH? Those aren't the same.
For instance, I had to read books like this when I studied African American Studies undergrad: https://amzn.to/3cL7T9F . It was helpful to read it since I was involved in a movement to save our African American Studies department.
I get that we may have weak links/allies among us. That's always true. But some of y'all aren't that great as activists. You're just loud and having done shit yet. So, be careful who you drag. You can always get next. I know I can.
And I've been in the game for 30 years. I have receipts for what I've done, but I also know that I can't rest on those. There's always more to do and we always need more to do it. But going after folks, like Amaya, who actively does the work, ain't it.
Act like you have a relationship with folks before you set off for a good dragging. And realize that some of the ones who are quick to drag may not be on your side. This goes way beyond astrology. READ HISTORY.
Also, I'm not just being a paranoid #Scorpio here. Someone retorts: why would the gov't come after astrologers & woo-woo types. Well, first, never underestimate your government's paranoia. Second, even though some folks are agents, they're agents of chaos.
They're like ambulance chasers, just for the thrill of seeing some "shit" happen. "Shit-starters." Often, these people are liars and are seeking to fill some deep, dark hole in themselves by just riling others up about something.
Or they want to extend a personal vendetta to more and more people rather than getting the therapy they need. They're worse than a gov't agent, because, at least, an agent answers to orders. These folks answer to no one, including themselves.
They're often out of control and their lives will reflect this. Social media has both made it easier for them to be seen while being relatively anonymous. Folks are looking at the Capitol Insurgency and somehow think that kind of crazy is just on the Right. It's not.
Oops, one last thing. I've made an error in this thread. I've made agent provocateurs sound like a thing of the past. They are not. They've been used with Black Lives Matter and with Proud Boys. And all incendiary bots are not Russian.
