My current count for raising $6M has hit 141 and growing. And I SEE in myself some level of stupid doggedness &maybe tenacity. Some of the comments I wrote against some of the leads & contacts are anything from optimistic to hysterical. #fundraising #smallbusiness #startups
I doubt it was clear to me those days that It’s an entrepreneur makes money for lenders and investors. It would have changed my mindset more.
Some lessons that really stuck;
- Investors want Return ON Investment and Return OFF capital
-They would rather not invest than risk loss
-Look at it as a journey not and end.
-Some skin in the game matters
-The fundraising process is a see yourself (your story) in the mirror
