I think my next general area of study will be labeled post-WW2. I will throw all Cold War, Korean War, Vietnam War and maybe even Iraq War movies in the same pot. I’m interested in American Post-WW2 Hegemony and its supporters and detractors.

My basic feeling/theory about the post-WW2 world is, ironically, the shift to a volunteer military and increased secrecy caused the average American to distrust the govt, when the idea was to create a smooth, seamless system of global dominance with less domestic disturbance.

The unpopular, however true, assertion is that the post-WW2 world order was wildly successful.
