I’d just like to remind people that there are tens of thousands of South East Asians in Taiwan who are far more deserving of attention from the government on these issues than a bunch of privileged long-term ESL teachers. The article unfortunately omits their existence entirely.
While simple things like ordering train tickets online might be a pain in the ass, if that and a few other minor issues are all I can complain about as a permanent resident, I consider myself privileged compared to the treatment that SE Asians have to endure each and everyday.
