Just remembered how I used my old laptop to make money when I was dead broke

It was my first year in uni and I had one laptop I only used to watch movies due to my department not requiring laptop based assignments and projects. My account was on red and I needed money fast.
I thought of starting a business or something but everything required money. My sister nonchalantly threw the idea to me one day after I had explained how broke I am. “Ehen then sell your laptop nau, you’re not using it for anything.”
The idea was clever but I wasn’t familiar with the concept of buying and selling gadgets in school. I called a friend and asked if he could put the word out for me about a laptop in good condition for sale.
Tobi laughed and replied “but isn’t that stress? You can put up the ad yourself on jiji.” I was confused. “Ad? Myself? I don’t understand.” He sighed. “You can put up the ad yourself on jiji and get someone to buy your laptop in just hours.”
I was shocked. So I could do that all along and I didn’t know? I quickly took pictures of my laptop, got on the jiji app and put up the ad. I went to bed and woke up the next morning to texts and calls from several interested people from jiji.
Quickly I replied a few and waited. After about two days, I decided on the buyer with the best rates and we chose a spot to meet, he checked the laptop to make sure everything worked as he was told. After he confirmed it, he handed over the agreed sum of money.
I went home that weekend, no longer broke and without the burden of finding a buyer that I wouldn’t have been satisfied with. My account was fat and my smile was wide, I didn’t know jiji made buying and selling things so damn easy
