Am going through some old education stuff.....
From SLE training.
I don’t want to get rid of this because it’s got a nice shiny silver sticker on it, like a seal of quality. And it’s part of my past.
It’s like an archive of teaching methodologies
A whole booklet on learning styles
+parental request 😂
‘Pretend you are microscopic’
‘Learn & sing songs from nations/countries being studied’
‘Use different parts of the body as a “rule” to measure different things” 😂
A matrix - Bloom’s taxonomy down the side and Gardner’s multiple intelligences across
‘Miss, my outcome is interpretive dance’
Still working towards this hallmark....
Oh. Dear.
Oh the irony! I think this is from the school where my RE teacher was told her teaching was inadequate because she used a continuum of opinions in her class.
I never understood some of these levels as the skill changed as the level increased rather than being a judgement of one ‘skill’
RE - The old GCSE spec that some people want to bring back....absolutely shocking.
Imagine the time this would take to actually do in a normal classroom. Move the tables and chairs. Play the game. Starting with 32 students down to 1. So 31 ‘rounds’. Put the table and chairs back. A lot of time and hassle for a small outcome?
I used these for lesson observations to ‘prove’ progress. Colour in at the start/middle/end. Bless those kids, they knew how it had to work for the observation.
