Mariners Twitter can cancel me after this. Whatever, I don't exactly care.

I'm gonna start this by saying, I LOVE James Paxton.

James Paxton has only crossed the 150 IP mark twice and one of those times it was by two-thirds of an inning.
The Mariners need more than that. He's coming off injury and the Mariners need an innings eater in the rotation and less than 150IP just won't cut it.

On top of that, there's a mutual dislike between the org and Paxton. There's more than money at play in this senario.
He's also injured and all his stuff was a few MPH slower on the radar gun from 2019 to 2020.

I'm not bashing him at all, this is just me laying out the reality of the situation.

I fully expect to be nuked for this take.
