Revisiting DT watching the Capitol being over-run:
DT did nothing to stop it at first.
Why? Imo, he was literally waiting to see what happened.
What was supposed to happen?
He was waiting to see if VP & key targets in Congress had been taken out. If so?

But once he got on the ground intel (from covert operators at the Capitol) the insurrection wasn't going to pan out?
He finally authorized help for the Capitol as a way to back out of the coup and then deny everything.

Imo, we'd be under martial law right now and Trump would still be there.
Had they succeeded with their plan they'd likely had Biden and everyone else at that point (that stood in their way) arrested.
How they planned to take control of the military still has me somewhat puzzled.

They did everything they could think of behind the scenes to make it easier to breach the Capitol successfully and to hit their primary targets.
Something went wrong in their plans tho and or they had a really weak group of insurrectionist dumbfucks. 1/2

It seems to me though that one loosely uniformed group that went up the middle had run this operation before. Likely rehearsed it somewhere else. Any hint of strategic attack denotes pre-planning.

The part that should scare intel agencies forever and others is:
Had a real professional group of highly trained operators (foreign or domestic) made their way inside they could've taken complete control of the US Capitol (with most of our legislators, VP & Speaker as hostages)
