I went to the @BUKnightsMBB game tonight to watch a great basketball team and game. What I ended up watching most of the time though was the bench interactions and how supportive they were of each other. It was as if THEY made the three or dunk or clutch pass.

Imagine how powerful that is for the teammates on the court at any given time. Dudes that compete for playing time all cheering for each other successes.
These kids all are at the D1 level, so you know they’re all competitive enough to want to be on the court themselves (2/ )
But all are willing to do their role, whether that’s a starter, 8th man or redshirt/end of the bench guy. A culture like that is hard to achieve as it takes a lot of work and people getting over an easier natural reaction (jealousy) for the benefit of the TEAM. (3/ )
A culture like that is also worth the work! It’s the difference between winners and losers. Proof? BU is in their first year of D1 basketball and are in 1st place in their conference. I’d say this is as much as a reason for their success as their terrific offensive system!
