@mrc314 @fire_bottle So, your #GatedEating has got me thinking over the last few months and more recently with stearic acid. I thought I’d share my last 4 years of data which, apart from the lack of entries for some periods, shows a yearly rebound to just over 80 kg’s . 1/5
58 yo male. Lost weight initially doing an LCHF CRD of 800 Kcal for 8 wks, and then LCHF. Had problems with fibre in LCHF, so went carnivore fish/eggs/meat/dairy in early 2018, where I have bounced between 77kg and 82kg for the last 3 years. OMAD keeps me under 80kg normally. 2/5
Similar feelings to you with problems feeling satisfied (worse with higher protein), portion control an issue, as I could easily eat 500gm of steak, still wanting more and I worry that the only way to lose that last 5-10kgs is to keep cutting intake. 3/
Waist is 87.5 cm, hips 101.5 cm, height 178 cm. My WHR is < .5, but carry a lot of fat on my hips. Fairly lean everywhere else. Been kitesurfing and resistance training for last 3 years, so pretty fit and reasonably strong. 4/
Had to have a 40 hr fast from 8pm on 31 Jan because of a diagnostic procedure this week, and managed that fairly easily, so I’m going to try combining your #GatedEating (you should probably trademark that) at -0.5kg/week and cacao butter (easy to order here in Oz) approach. 5/
Fortunately, I’m ahead of the target because of the fast at the beginning of the week. Cacao butter arrived 3 days ago, so mixing 20 g with 80 g and using that over the day. 50gm of that mix with 250 gm of steak was utterly sating. Cautiously optimistic. 6/
The proof of the pudding for me will be getting under 76 kg’s and continuing down. Main reason is to be lighter for my kitesurfing. Thanks for your collection of self-experimentation tweets and honest approach!
