While my advocate colleague and I are professional in how we do advocate as we see it as the only way. I do relate to the feelings of exasperation, anger, victimization and desperation in todays climate. Full on war against a medication that DOES help many in physical pain.
Having a condition that causes severe life long pain is a life sentence for so many. For those where a medication that helps is yanked away by no fault of their own but due to selfishness, naivety or complacency- should not be acceptable. this is OUR LIFE!
We are expected to be superhuman and mentally stable at all times to prove our worth for care. And that if we are lucky is getting slimmer and slimmer of even an option. This should never have happened.
So I understand the anger. But we have to cont to be superhuman, advocate and navigate, wear a thousand hats and be the moral police, on top of dealing with life crippling pain and complex conditions.
