$DOGE - a thread.

what do Elon Musk, internet memes and a decentralized revolt against the system all have in common?

buckle up, the future has a mascot and his name is $DOGE
first off - who am i?

i'm just a member of this crypto community that has been growing for more than a decade.

i have no face, but a persona. i'm anonymous because my identity doesn't matter. i contribute to the world in the only way i know how. doing this.

i'm tunez 🤝
i still remember what life was like before crypto.

video games, full nights of sleep and a routine that felt like i wasn't headed in any real direction i was happy with.

and then i found crypto and my life changed forever - even after i lost money. and trust me i lost a LOT
when the 2017 bubble popped, and the entire community endured the year from hell that was 2018...at times it felt like maybe this was all one big con

that magic internet money was as scammy as it sounds.

and then...
and then it went up. it went up a LOT

at first, i thought 2018 was the year that made me weak. that i had made the biggest bet of my life and lost.

but now, i realize it was the opposite. 2018 was the year that made me strong
i learned about risk. i learned about losing. i learned how to trade - because i HAD to.

2018 forced me to start taking this game seriously because not everybody wins.

2018 turned me into the trader i am today and if it wasn't for that pain i never would have made this progress
2019 - bitcoin rallies to $14k and a sense of faith in restored.

2020 - everything rallies (A LOT) and decentralized finance starts looking like it may actually have a place in society

2021 - okay honestly i have no clue what the fuck is going on
$DOGE pumped 1,000% in less than 24 hours sparking a viral meme-fueld social trend with the main goal of sending this shiba "to the moon"

but how did we get here?
well, for starters it's elon musk's favorite cryptocurrency.

he's tweeted about it numerous times in the midst of his meme-powered stream of thoughts

it's not hard to understand why a meme-lover would like $DOGE. the coin is a meme
dogecoin is probably what the average person thinks cryptocurrency is - magic internet money with no real value or utility.

and that's what $DOGE is. there is nothing new, advanced or innovative about it. it's nothing

and that's why its the perfect candidate for this movement.
while the crypto market as a whole has been trending up (significantly) for the past year...this $DOGE pump feels disconnected from the market.

this $DOGE pump stems from the $GME "war on wall street" movement we've all been immersed by.
people coming together and using the most powerful tool they have at their disposal: MONEY.

gamestop taught us that even if you beat wall street at their own game, they'll change the rules.

you can halt trading in the stock market...but you can't press pause on a 24 hour market
nobody can. crypto is decentralized. thats the point.
ideologically...crypto represents not "fighting back" but rather opting out.

when robinhood halted trading of $GME...wall street showed their hand to the world.

the rules of the game we play were written by the powerful, for the powerful.

and you can't blame them.
greed is innate. if you give anybody power, they're going to want more.

the problem with our society is not that bad people are powerful, but rather that power makes people bad.

the problem is not the people. its the power.

why not remove the power from the game?
you can. and you may not realize but it's been happening for more than 10 years now, starting in 2009 when bitcoin was created.

"The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks."

that was printed in the very first "block" of bitcoin by it's creator.
$DOGE is not the face of the movement by any means... #bitcoin is.

and even though technologically they're pretty similar...

bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency and birthed everything we have today.
the amount of technological innovation happening in crypto right now, combined with a devaluing dollar and insane upward market movement has created a world of opportunity and an environment for $DOGE to thrive in.
it's almost ironic.

the single greatest opportunity of our generation.

the ability to bet on pure innovation without any traditional limits that exist in the stock market...
the greatest transfer of wealth in history, happening before our very eyes.

decentralized finance (DeFi) handing out 20%, 50% and even in some cases over 100% yield on their STABLE COINS (dollars on the blockchain)

compare that to less than 1% with a bank.
the world is being changed forever.

decentralization is speeding up and the future is rapidly approaching.

so much going on...and yet $DOGE is the coin that captures the attention of the internet.
a meme. $DOGE is a meme.

it's nothing, and it doesn't try to be anything either. in my opinion, that's what makes it so special.

$DOGE can represent whatever we want it to.
when $GME, $AMC and other stocks had their trading halted, people flocked to $DOGE.

$GME is not the meme... $GME is proving that the ENTIRE MARKET is a meme.

if $GME can be manipulated that easily, what does it say about everything else?
people should be able to do whatever they want with their money.

if traders want to come together and all buy gamestop, they should be able to.

but if rules of the game are going to change when the little guy wins, maybe that game isn't worth playing.
the difference between $GME and $DOGE is that two different games are being played.

$GME is playing by their rules, $DOGE is playing by ours.

$DOGE is a meme, but the stock market may be an even bigger one
the higher $DOGE goes, the more people get exposed to crypto.

$DOGE represents decentralization in its most basic form.

a market that nobody in power can stop. a coin that will be pumped if the people want it to.
if $DOGE is the gateway drug to getting people interested in the innovation and opportunity that the world of cryptocurrency has become...let it be just that.

$DOGE may be a meme, but crypto is not.
$GME was a revolt against the system but the players forgot one thing: the game will never be fair if the people in charge can change the rules.

in crypto, nobody can change the rules. thats the point
$GME fought a side-battle in a war that has been going on for more than a decade now.

the crypto markets are on absolute fire right now.

we are winning
$DOGE is a meme - yes.

but its also a cryptocurrency gateway drug...and for that reason alone it is much more valuable than 99% of the coins in the market.

Elon loves $DOGE for a reason, and a very good one - he's on our side.
if you want to join this movement, join the telegram and drop a 🚀. you're going to have a great time and you just might even learn something.

who knows if $DOGE will go to a dollar, but i for one am betting on it. http://t.me/dogecoin_army
