4.5 hours til the deadline. Source says the CBA proposals from MLS and the MLSPA are close.

Anything can happen, but, as I said yesterday, I’d be surprised at this point if there was a lockout.
As I said though, anything can happen. Maybe I’ll end up surprised. Been known to occur.
As @JeffreyCarlisle reported, source confirms that MLSPA bargaining committee and exec board are voting on a CBA proposal.

Here's how vote works:

Bargaining comm. includes 3 players per team. Every team contingent gets one vote. All 8 members of e-board have a vote. 35 votes.
A simple majority of those 35 votes would mean the CBA is tentatively approved.

At that point, the deal would be sent to the entire player pool. Every player would have a vote to ratify or deny the deal. Source said that that vote probably wouldn't happen until Saturday.
Like the bargaining committee and exec board vote, the full player pool vote is a simple majority, according to the source.

If more than 50% of the players approve a tentative deal, the CBA would be locked in on the players' side. The season would presumably commence on April 3.
