HIDDEN GEMS IN “BAD” ALBUMS: The Big Day - Chance The Rapper

I’ll be giving my favorite songs from The Big Day which I consider to be good/amazing. The Big Day wasnt exactly what I thought it was gonna be, but with every “bad” project, there’s always good songs hidden in it, so these are the ones I chose for The Big Day!
1: Do You Remember

This song has a great chorus and the instrumental is amazing tbh. His verses could definitely be better but overall I like this track, always gives me a summer vibe!
2: Eternal (feat. Smino)

I think this track is very good honestly. Smino KILLS it on this instrumental and I fw Chance singing on the chorus.
3: We Go High

I honestly really like this song. His flow is nice asl and the beat is so chill.
4: Handsome (feat. Megan Thee Stallion)

I just really like the upbeat sound of this song and just puts me in a good mood. I usually skip when Megan’s verse starts lol 😬
5: 5 Year Plan

This is the song that got me hyped for the album, and this is the announcement video. The last verse is amazing and the instrumental is amazing too.
6: Get A Bag (feat. Calboy)

Just a feel good song that and Calboy’s feature is pretty good. Another summer vibe song that I fw
7: Slide Around (feat. Lil Durk & Nicki Minaj)

Pierre production on this song suites Chance perfectly, and the feature verses are very good too
8: Sun Come Down

I absolutely love the first half of this song. The second half and verse were definitely eh but I just love the simple instrumental and the tone of his voice on this
The Big Day definitely didn’t live up to the expectations of most of us and I understand that! Like this, there are plenty of hated on albums with hidden gems in them that get no shine!
