We don’t need to “breakup big tech”, just increase their taxes.

It’s pretty clear they all aggressively compete with each other and the customers end up winning with more for less.
Apple coming after FB in VR.

Apple potentially creating a search engine to compete with Google.

Apple increasing privacy features to reduce data concerns from FB and Google.

Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud growing faster and taking market share from AWS.
Are there still valid concerns? Yes.

Let’s solve each independently.

App / Play Store policies and tax needs to be reigned in.

Mobile OS needs more competition outside iOS and Android.

AWS shouldn’t be kicking people off infrastructure over a political agenda.
There’s also the upside of all of the research that can be done at a loss.

DeepMind, Waymo, etc.

Plus all the open source projects we all use that come out of these places:

Cassandra, Kubernetes, etc.

I never hear many people (outside of @friedberg) talk about the upsides.
