When Oxford AstraZeneca realise more evidence supporting its use in over 65s the EU is going to look very stupid and I suspect have a myriad of self inflicted issues to try and resolve.

By refusing to use the vaccines on those most at risk it will have led to deaths which could have been avoided - unlike the many mistakes made this will have been intentional

In many countries including France this is already a massive issue. The EU leadership have made it worse and ensured that many will refuse them. Longer term this cause even more deaths.

No vaccines means no economy
Lockdowns will have to be extended. This is especially problematic in the south which is massively reliant on tourism. The EU is unlikely to be open for the holiday season.

We are already seeing how upset a growing portion of the public are with lockdowns. You wait until they get told there is no end in sight for another 3 - 4 months.

All in all the EU has taken a big issue and made it far far bigger.
