How do you not yet understand that the point of Wokeness isn't to make anything better? It's to make everyone hate everything as much as possible while enabling some grift for certain among its activists.

I'm serious. How don't you get this yet?

Being derived from Neo-Marxism, Wokeness intends to alienate everyone from their culture and society so they'll want to burn it down, or to see it burned down. The vanguard of Critical Theorists will appoint themselves lead arsonists, believing "liberated" utopia is at hand.

I mean, they even say so. Here, Herbert Marcuse in "Repressive Tolerance."

The essential argument of all Critical Theory is that capitalism, rationalism, and the liberal order alienate people from reality and their own lives, and if the sources of alienation were made obvious to people, they'd want liberation from them. So, "point out" the alienation.

In practice, because most people actually are not alienated from real life in society most of the time, "pointing out" their alleged alienation is accomplished by alienating people from their lives, say by injecting Woke politics into every facet of their experience.

While the Critical Theorists had some excellent critiques of particular kinds of fascism, their critiques of the liberal order, rationalism, and capitalism are extremely presumptuous. "Why aren't you dumb plebs living life the way I would if reality weren't a constraint?!"

When Marcuse talks about "historical possibilities," he means "real communism, the kind 'that hasn't been tried yet.'" His beef in his other works is that dumb plebs just mindlessly participate in capitalist society when they could be inTElLeCTuALs like him if they wised up.

"Your football game isn't inspiring a critical consciousness! Better politicize it. Better stick BLM in it? It's alienating you! We'll show you! Don't you feel alienated now?! You could be changing the world, but YOU LIKE THINGS! If you're not mad, you aren't paying attention!!!"

"You getting to know yourself, self-actualizing, as it were, is MAKING YOU CONTENT when you could be 'liberated' from everything bad in certain 'historical possibilities' instead if we can just alienate you from everything so you feel alienated all the time!"

"ASL is a cool way to communicate and greatly increases access and quality of life for deaf and hearing impaired people. It makes them CONTENT and HAPPY, not alienated and angry. So, it's TOO WHITE! Bad. Gross. Alienating!"

Critical Theory can be boiled down to "Society isn't a communist utopia because people are happy about things. If we can ruin that happiness for more or less everyone, they'll want something better, like a communist utopia, which will work this time if you put us in charge."
