There is no question whatsoever about the fact that Gearoid Murphy is a key fascist agitator in Ireland. He specialises in disinformation.
The idea that 'Nazi boy' who threw fascist salutes at Barrow Street in 2019 was a plant came from him. A key long form video about the 'great replacement theory' and Ireland came from him.
He works closely with two other out and out fascists - Rowan Croft and Mick 'Chopper' O'Keefe. All three are closely linked with the National Party.
It is clear that all three are heavily involved in the systematic racist trolling of Hazel Chu and other people of colour who come to public attention in Ireland.
The very pally relationship between Murphy and Iona Institute researcher Angelo Bottone is worthy of note.
Bottone attended the anti LGBTQ & anti feminist "World Congress of Families" in Italy in summer 2019. The main speakers were from the Italian far right.
He also wrote an article for the conference's magazine in the Italian language. https://issuu.com/notizie-provita/docs/aria-nuova-in-famiglia_estratto-web
One of other articles in the magazine, not by him, attacks "diversity" & uses pictures of the Muslim winner of BBC's 'Great British Bake Off'.
He says he's not an 'Irish Nationalist'. Could he be an Argentinian or Italian one? Both of those countries have serious histories with 'nationalism'.
He is also very ostentatious about the fact that he uses bitchute and gab - both of which are refuges for the far right.
Evola is a favourite among fascists. Keith 'Woods' (O'Brien) and John Waters are two key Irish fascists who parade the name.
Bottone's Iona Institute colleague David Quinn noted with approval his fascist friend John Waters running for election under Gemma O'Doherty's ACI banner.
All of this would suggest to me that The Iona Institute's researcher may have serious sympathies with Irish fascist movements. Maybe some of the journalistic outlets that host columnists and contributors from The Iona Institute should ask some questions about all this.
I mean - has anyone ever asked David Quinn and his colleagues in the 'Institute' if they support The National Party? Or the Irish Freedom Party? Or ACI?
I think some journalist should at least ask them if their researcher is a fascist.
I mean - come on!
