This is the kind of delusional shit in America I'm fed up with. This was on an investment website:

"Here’s what a measurable goal looks like using our example: My goal is to save a total of $800,000 to pay for all three of my children’s total higher education costs.”
The AVERAGE American income in 2019 was $31,133 according to the US Census. The median cost of living in America requires over $67,690.

It isn't your fault you can't save. It isn't your fault that you don't have enough retirement. Don't let American corporations and advertising
make you believe that it's your fault.

American consumerism is dying because this is no longer the 1980's and because they will not raise the minimum wage.

Consumerism makes them rich and puts you in debt. If you want to fight the system,
learn to live the way Americans have usually lived, by reuse, paying cash, and not buying what you don't need. I'm sorry to go on this rant but I've seen much better economic times in America and that time is NOT now. Don't make them rich until they budge.
