Hey internet friends, your Auntie Echo would like to remind you some things about stress!
1. Even good and amazing things can be a source of stress! It doesn’t have to be a dire, tragic occurrence.
2. We often don’t feel the effects of stress until the thing is over.
Remember our bodies are made to survive. So if you have been coping amazingly well, then suddenly you aren’t, it’s that delayed reaction. You calmly walked away from the bear and got back to the cabin, and NOW you are freaking out! This is normal!
So as Spring is happening soon and we will be outside maybe and getting our vaccines... it’s ok to still be a little freaked out. Give yourself a break and some time!
Eat food! Drink your water! Take a nap! Take your migraine medication and don’t stop your antidepressants. Give yourself a break. You aren’t weak. You are human and you are loved.
