6. Rathera (Kho Kho)

Played in 'Raths'
13th day of the war, the Kaurava Guru Dronacharya planned the sole tactics ‘Chakravyuh’, a special military defensive plan broke by Abhimanyu. Unfortunately, he died as he had to fight alone against 7 warriors and he was badly injured.
His style of fighting reflected the concept of ring play – a defensive tactic in Kho Kho.

This was popular game during Indus Valley Civilization

Originated 200 years ago,and was played mostly in Punjab,UP,Sindh

11.Yubi Lakpi (Rugby) in Manipur

It means 'Coconut snatching'
It was traditionally associated with an autochthonous form of Hinduism
12 Kabaddi

Originated 4000 year back in Tamil Naidu. Derived from a group of Hunters and village defense tactics.

13. Martial Arts

Both armed n unarmed combats were in Vedic period
(Sastra Yuddha and Malla Yuddha)
It was also played in Mahabharata, Indus valley civilization
Today while we focusing on foreign games, the Richness and image of our ancient games are becoming a blur and dying.
