From Mireille. Listen to what Jesus said when He was tempted by the devil in the wilderness with no food or drink in 40 days:

It is written in Matthew 4:1-4 "Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” The devil tempted Christ Jesus when He was most vulnerable, hungry and tired, and the devil didn't offer the Lord a meal, no, he tempted the Lord by questioning Jesus' identity as the Son of God!
Pride would have caused Jesus to fall by attempting to prove who He was and doing some miracle ordered by the devil! But our Lord, who is meek and humble, used scripture to combat and successfully defeat the devil's temptation.
We need to learn, believers, that we have nothing to prove. Once you are born again in Christ you are a child of God, period. Who hasn't heard the devil's accusation "I thought you said you are a Christian, then why..."? (fill in the blanks!)
Well, don't fall for the enemy's temptation! Don't be like Eve in the garden of Eden and have a conversation with Satan and misquote what God said, then fall after the enemy convinces you to disobey God! Be like Jesus.
