A thread of Why I think Chelsea have a good chance of signing Haaland. (By @_hi_kai_)
The clubs thought to be interested are: Real,Barca, and Chelsea with potential interest from Man City Real Madrid, and Barca are in tight financial situations so they need to sell a lot of players. Assuming Barca get rid of Messi, they will need to find a creative replacement
This means that Real and Barca will likely wait until 2022 to sign him for cheaper, when his £66m release clause is active.
We have heard from reliable sources that Man City want a big money striker, so assuming they will go in for him, it seems as they are favourites. However,as @FabrizioRomano reported city are looking to spend around £225m, and don't have a lot of players to sell.
So spending 100m+ Mino Raola's fees on one player could get them in FFP trouble, which means city will probably wait until 2022. However Chelsea are looking to sell a lot of deadwood from the loan army.
Chelsea have also secured highly sought after players recently, which proves they attract talent. Showing that they may be leaders to sign Erling Haaland
