Democratic @RepElaineLuria has broken her pledge not to take corporate PAC money, which might not be terribly surprising, but the rationale she's offering voters is totally incredible.
She offers several but the first is that, actually, it's just the same as small donor money

If it needs to be clarified: this is nonsense.
All corporate PAC money comes from employees/executives who fund the PAC. Federal law prohibits corporations from making direct contributions. This is what a corporate PAC is. /2

The second rationale is closer to honest, but in its honesty is a bit striking. Her campaign manager says that yes, she promised not to take corporate PAC money, but that was for 2018, not future cycles.

Embedded in that second rationale is a third one, which is just an incredible claim. She says that corporate PACs are "an important way for the average person to be involved in the political process."
