Been using the console for a bit, here are my thoughts so far:
1. Controller's great. Adaptive triggers don't fight back as much as I thought they would, and haptics aren't as impactful as I imagined, but they're still a huge leap forward from DS4, which feels like crap now.

2. How the hell does one settle for 60 FPS after this? Performance RT should be a thing on every game. 30FPS is just unplayable, Ray Tracing (at least on 1080p SDR) isn't worth the tradeoff on smoothness.
3. The storage capacity suprisingly isn't that restrictive. I was able to get 8 or so AAA games, PS4 as well as PS5, and still have a bit of space left. If you have good internet, you should leverage it as much as you can to cycle games in and out of the SSD.
4. I would be highly wary of getting an SSD expansion when it becomes available. The prices are already too high, and will be astronomical in India. Much better to wait for the update that lets you store PS5 games on an external drive, and take advantage of that instead.
5. I started laughing the first time I experienced these load times. That is probably the second most next-gen thing about PS5 after the controller. How have we been living without this? Nice touch by Spider-Man devs on skipping the opening titles after the first launch.
6. Man, the UI sucks. I'll eventually get used to it, but the kind of senseless changes the way things are on the PS4 makes me think they went for an overhaul for the sake of the overhaul. Jumping between the ends of a horizontal carousel with R1/R2 is one example; that is gone.
6 (contd.): Even stuff like notifications coming on top of the Settings and Account icons has not been fixed after all these updates. And when you download a save file from PS4, all the trophies are listed one by one, with trophy clips uselessly recorded. Should've been patched.
7. This thing runs QUIET. Unless you have a coil whine or disk drive issue (very rare), you can barely hear the thing pulling weight when playing graphics-intensive stuff. You have to get up close to hear anything happening. That's a big plus.
8. Dust will be a huge problem in the coming months. Indian PS5s will collect a lot more dust than in most parts of the world a lot quicker. I hope to learn how to get the dust out of the dust catcher, i.e., what vacuum cleaner to get, or whether to get one at all.
9. Game prices will be a big lol. We'll see people who tripped over their own feet scoring this thing for 50k (often more) whining about new titles being so pricey. Also not very smart by Sony, but regardless, end result is you'll have to get used to waiting. /r/PatientGamers.
Overall, solid console. One of the joys of console gaming is seeing big blockbuster titles over a long period and getting to immediately (or at least eventually) play them reliably and conveniently. That will feel better on PS5, for quite some time to come.
