Lots of media here waiting for Rep. Greene’s 11 a.m. press conference to begin. I believe cable channels will carry it live, but I’m always partial to @cspan. Of course I will also be tweeting.
Still waiting but aides say she is coming. House is in session so she may be working around votes. Stay tuned.

Greene starts off by saying she respects the media but also wants us to cover more than her problematic statements. (Note from me: That would be easier to do if she responded to questions and granted interviews.)
She said she came to Congress because gov’t is broken and she wants to champion conservative causes like limiting immigration and ending abortion.
Greene: “I also want you to know free speech matters.” She said removing her from committees stripped her voters in Georgia’s 14th District of a vote.
Now she is talking about how gun-free school zones allowed people to bring guns to schools and terrorize kids. She repeats story of incident when she was in high school and compares it to Parkland. Now she is talking about former President Trump. Said his supporters love his policies and his fight and what he stood for. She says Republican voters support him still. “This party is his. It doesn’t belong to anyone else.” 2nd impeachment is a farce, she says.
She accuses Rep. AOC of faking her story about the US Capitol riots. She said Rep. Bush did not tell the truth about their confrontation. She says media is teaching people to have people like her and Trump and conservative media does the same to the left.
Notes from me: Rep. Greene is all over the place, which is very Trump is. She also like Trump is sharing a narrative not always based in truth or reality. Im wondering if she will take questions at the end of her speech.
Greene says she feels free being removed from committees. She doesn’t have to wrestle with proposals from Democrats. “If I was on a committee I would be wasting my time” because it doesn’t represent her conservative values.
She now is dipping into topics of race and racism. That includes saying white lawmakers are persecuted for the color of their skin and mischaracterizing Black Lives Matter protests of being universally violent.
Greene: “Now I have a lot of free time on my hands. Which means I can talk to a whole lot more people all around this country.”
Greene says other Christians like her should share the gospel and not be lukewarm. Now she is taking questions.
She is only answering friendly questions from conservative outlets. She attacked a @cnn reporter for asking if she stood by accusing Speaker Pelosi of treasons. She refused to answer when I and others asked if she wants to apologize for anything.
And yes. That is my voice you hear complaining. She is ignoring most of us and let OAN get a second question.
She answered my question about apologizing. She said she is sorry for anything she said in the past that was wrong. But in response to another question she said she does not apologize for confronting David Hogg.
