THREAD - A Panoramic glance at my music taste
Music has been an important part of my life, moreso lately than ever, as I have realized in my leisurely ponderings that music is memory, faded in some parts, brighter in others, a collage of memories, a vignette photograph from the forgotten and the non-existent
Without squandering many words on the meaning of music, I will dive into some of the artists I enjoy, and hopefully put some on to new music.
Thundercat

I have to start off with the legend in my avi. A true maestro of jazz, with writing credits on some of the most creative, influential and masterful pieces of music. However, the real appeal of Thundercat, to me, is his own catalog of music
The underappreciated solo discography of his has a myriad of beautiful songs that inculcate soulful singing and and bass-riffing into the concoction of funk, jazz and hiphop, with spotlight-worthy, memorable performances from the features.
Idles

I have talked about this band for ages, putting my friends on, and fellow music enthusiasts too. I was introduced to their music through a single, 'Danny Nedelko', one of the most entertaining and energetic post-punk, rock fusion, so ambiguous in the line it walks
Vacillating from mellow guitar chords to thundering riffs, guttural, passionate delivery, all throughout keeping in theme with sociopolitical dialogue and a diatribe to the conventional, close-minded system that we are restricted in. Their albums are nothing short of masterpieces
Slauson Malone

An artist I discovered recently, and have been engulfed in his artistic portrayal of darkness ever since. A kaleidoscopic abyss of different sounds, his music derives from Jazz, Hip Hop, Industrial, Soul, Vaporwave and genres way beyond my knowledge and vocabulary
Infested with slow vocals, ambient textures with foley sounds, lachrymose strings over decrepit vocal samples from lost generations of art, the genius inclusion of various features and vocal performances throughout, his two projects are something I hold close.
Playboi Carti

Definitely the most mainstream of my inclusions so far, Carti has never failed to surprise with his ambitious creativity and uniqueness, with what is, in my opinion, one of the most consistent catalogs in trap
His inebriating delivery, the addicting simplicity of it all, paired with some of the most unique and outstanding production, and the selection of featured artists, all work well enough to forge perfection. The incarnadined dreads, the ostensibly dark backdrop of enigma
and the eccentric style choices all add to the artistry.
Pusha T

As a coke rap aficionado, this inclusion was mandatory,as Pusha T has distinguished himself as one of the most prolific lyricists, with an ear for good production, riding the tide of longevity. One half of Clipse, one of the most respected acts in hiphop and 2000s coke-rap
His music redolent of the quest for finer things, of expensive art, and of anecdotal narration of a past he has left behind, but is proud of. Working with legendary producers like Pharrell and Kanye throughout his career, his discography is something to behold in admiration
Westside Gunn

A newer face in the coke-rap scene for most, Westside Gunn's delivery is perceived as intolerable by some, charismatic by others. But in reality, the Buffalo MC, rapper by circumstance, has already built him an amazing catalog in the brevity of his career
Discography packed full of heat, Westside Gunn's music is a showcase of immaculate production and hungry rap performances. With beats from Daringer, Beat Butcha, The Alchemist, Harry Fraud and Static Selectah, and features from MCs of the coke scene and his brothers.
R.A.P Ferreira

Rory aka milo aka Scallops hotel aka R.A.P. Ferreira is a poetic visionary, a student of philosophy and a skilled MC, going by a set of different names through his career. Abstract poetry on Jazz instrumentals
Often associated with MCs like Billy woods, E L U C I D, Open Mike Eagle, Busdriver, milo treads his own unique lane of art rap, over beautiful, luxurious jazz instrumentals or simplistic drum machine skeletal beats. The lyricism is certainly a highlight of his music
Now that I have given an essence of my favorite music, perchance a little to protracted to retain interest, here are some more albums that I enjoy
END OF THREAD, likes and RTS= exposure, I really hope I put you on to some new and hopefully enjoyable music. Thanks If You Read This Far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
