1. Women are still largely underrepresented in science.
2. They tend to leave science more often.
3. Representation is worse in positions of responsability with higher salaries
4. Representationis is worse among women of color, queer women and women with chronic conditions
5. Existing systemic structural barriers are responsible for pushing women away from science. Rigid hierarchies, abusive working conditions, implicit biases & stereotypes, unsafe spaces & harassment culture push many women and scientists from underrepresented groups away.
